Glass Combing/Raking Workshop

Workshop: Sa-M, Sep 28-30, Sa, 10am-2:30pm; Su, 12-
3:30pm; M, 6-8:30pm, The Art Glass Center
Experience the thrill of using a steel rake to create patterns in glass at high temperature. In session 1, students will be introduced to glass combing techniques and create a blank composed of strips of glass. In session 2, the glass is heated to 1700 degrees to make it soft enough to be combed. Session 3 is for coldworking the cooled glass
and slumping into a mold if desired. Students must have glass fusing experience to register for this workshop. Info: michelerubinglass@outlook.com. Minimum age 14.
