Fabulous First Time Casters
Discover the basics of glass casting and the technique of Pate de Verre. Using processes from the Egyptian era, we will make objects in clay and build an open–face plaster mold to invest with glass. After kiln-firing, we will experience the wonder of breaking open the plaster mold to reveal the glass sculpture within. Finishing processes will be included.

Open Studios
Kilnformed Glass: Open Studio Hours
$30 per session, $10 each additional hour (for enrolled students only)
Work independently on your own kilnformed glass projects with the guidance of a professional glass artist. Bring your ideas and designs. Previous fusing experience is required and studentes must be enrolled in kiln glass classes to participate in open studios. Firings, glass and materials are available for purchase/a fee. Attendees must contact instructors beforehand to reserve a space. There is no registration. Minimum age 14.
